On June 6, Wuhan Institute of Technology (WIT) and GGT held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Wuhan. The two parties agreed to work together to build a technology research center and promote further university-enterprise cooperation and closer enterprise-led collaboration between industries, universities, and research institutes, in a bid to jointly boost technological innovation and talent cultivation.

This cooperation would focus on the fields of eco-environment protection, bio-circular economy, intelligent digital technology, and talent cultivation and training. The two parties agreed to jointly build a university-enterprise collaborative engineering research center to guide and cultivate high-quality talents, create an internship base, and apply for a scientific and technological innovation platform together. At the same time, in terms of technical cooperation, the two parties agreed to carry out cooperation projects on the research on key technology of solid organic waste resource conversion and comprehensive utilization, the R&D of intelligent equipment and bioactive functional products, and the development of AI digital technologies.

Wang Cunwen, president of WIT, said this cooperation served as an important measure to promote the common development of universities and enterprises. It would not only give full play to the complementary advantages and resources of both parties to jointly promote technological reform, scientific and technological innovation, and achievement transformation, but also optimize resource allocation, cultivate high-quality industrial talents, and boost enterprise-led collaboration between industries, universities, and research institutes, to look to the common development in future.

Liu Ming, chairman of GGT, said that the strategic cooperation between GGT and WIT would further promote the common development of enterprises and universities, create a high-level technological innovation incubator, and make greater contributions to the R&D of core technologies and new technological products, the innovative practices, and the high-quality sustainable development of the industry.
